A huge and heartfelt thankyou to the lovely Helen for this Facebook post.
So I have finished and it ended with me in yet another blubbering mess! That ending was beautiful!!! I don't think I have ever read such a beautiful and well written ending. It's not my usual kind of read so I was a bit unsure how I would take to it but I could not put it down. Every spare 5 minutes was spent reading another chapter to find out how Izzy would deal with Nanna Helen. I felt myself thinking of things I would say to her if she was my mother, how I would deal with the pull from the force of guilt. I felt myself getting pulled into Izzy feelings and even found myself snapping at Gareth if he asked me something whilst I was in the middle of reading a chapter which included a "discussion" between Izzy and Leo, the tension definitely rubbed off on me! I can not wait to read the next instalment.
I have been spreading the word to people at work and I can safely say that that's not just because it's a book written by a friends mum but because it is a book written by a truly wonderful and talented writer. You should be so proud of Distance, now hurry up and get the next one finished!
